Refund and Cancellation Policy
Effective Last updated
Myna subscriptions are sold by Polar, our merchant of record. Polar handles payments, applicable taxes, invoices and receipts, refunds, and subscription collection. This page explains how that works and exactly what happens to your organization when you cancel, downgrade, or a payment fails.
How billing works
The Free plan costs nothing and requires no payment details. Pro costs €9/month or €90/year per organization and is purchased through a Polar-hosted checkout opened from the dashboard’s billing settings. Because Polar is the merchant of record, your payment relationship — charges on your statement, tax handling, invoices, and receipts — is with Polar, and payment card details never touch Myna’s servers.
You can view invoices, update payment methods, and manage your subscription at any time through the Polar customer portal, reachable from Settings → Billing → Manage billing in the dashboard.
Cancelling
Cancel any time from the Polar customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period: you keep Pro entitlements until then, and the organization then moves to the Free plan. Deleting your organization also ends the subscription.
What a downgrade to Free means, concretely:
- Published content and assets stay online. We never delete or unpublish your content because of a downgrade.
- Resources above Free allowances (extra projects, members, webhooks) remain readable and usable, but you cannot create new ones while over the allowance.
- Revision history older than 30 days is pruned under the Free plan’s retention (current draft and published versions are always kept).
Refunds
Refunds are processed by Polar. Except where applicable law requires otherwise, subscription payments are non-refundable and we do not provide prorated refunds for unused time. Verified duplicate, erroneous, or unauthorized charges will be investigated and refunded where appropriate.
If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you may have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal from the initial subscription purchase. If you expressly ask us to begin providing Pro service during that period and then withdraw, we may deduct an amount proportionate to the service already supplied where the law permits. Nothing in this policy limits mandatory consumer rights.
To request a refund, use the Polar customer portal or contact [email protected] with your organization slug and invoice reference.
Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, Polar retries collection, and Myna applies a grace schedule rather than cutting you off:
| Period after failure | What happens |
|---|---|
| Days 0–7 | Full Pro access continues, with warnings in the dashboard and by email. |
| Days 8–14 | No new projects or asset uploads; everything else keeps working. |
| Day 15 onward | The organization drops to Free entitlements. Published content and assets remain online. |
Fixing the payment method in the Polar portal restores Pro immediately.
Switching plans
Upgrading from Free to Pro takes effect immediately after checkout. Changes between monthly and annual billing take effect at the next renewal unless the Polar portal clearly presents and you confirm a prorated immediate change.
